Originating from a private client, having been purchased "En Primeur" and unmoved since arriving in the U.K., we appear to be the first to open the original wooden cases. The labels are in super condition, but there are some short fills, possibly at the time of bottling as there are no signs of seepage.

There is a generally held belief that the Chateau must have had difficulties on their bottling line when bottling the 1970 leading to so many bottles being short filled. All the bottles of Chateau Mouton Rothschild below show no signs of leaking and have very good tight corks, intact exceedingly good labels but some have torn original tissues.

1982 ... another amazing vintage from Chateau Mouton Rothschild and a top 100 point score, together with an enthusiastic tasting comment, "A legend", from the great Robert Parker. One must not lose sight of the fact that these wines are now approaching 30 years old, yet still with a glorious drinking future. They were mainly sourced from private cellars and, although the levels are very good, some labels may have suffered a little with the passage of time.
